Executive Protection Training Course
8-Day Intensive Training

Day 1: Intro to Executive Protection

Day one lays the foundation for your training in Executive Protection. This session covers core fundamentals including movement principles, professional dress and appearance standards, communication protocols, and key legal considerations. The day combines essential classroom instruction with hands-on practical exercises — ensuring you gain real-world experience, not just theory.

Day 2: Route Planning and Location Advances

Day two focuses on the critical skills of route planning and conducting location advances. Students will learn how to develop primary and alternate routes, assess potential risks, and coordinate with on-site staff and management. Training includes visiting actual venues to conduct real-time assessments — all in preparation for a real-world Executive Protection detail that will be part of the final exam.

Day 3-5: Advanced Medical Readiness Training

Over the course of three intense days, students will receive comprehensive medical response training tailored for high-risk environments. This hands-on training module includes certification in First Aid, CPR, AED, Stop the Bleed, and Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC). Students will train in simulated hostile environments and perform scenario-based drills designed to reflect real-world emergencies that may arise during Executive Protection operations.

Day 6: Alabama State Armed Guard Licensing

On day six, students will complete the Alabama Security Regulatory Board (ASRB) State Guard Certification Course. Successful completion of this course qualifies participants for licensure as both Unarmed and Armed Security Guards in the state of Alabama. This certification enables students to pursue security work statewide, expanding their professional opportunities in the field.

Day 7: Firearms Proficiency Training

Day seven is dedicated to firearms proficiency and threat response. This advanced training day is designed to test and refine students’ ability to protect a principal under realistic conditions. Drills include shooting with a principal, engaging moving targets, and executing evacuation scenarios — all conducted under stress-inducing conditions to enhance decision-making and performance under pressure.

Students will complete two firearms qualifications: the ASRB-mandated qualification for the state armed guard licensure, and a more rigorous Executive Protection-specific qualification required for graduation from this course.

Day 8: Final Review and Examination

The final day begins with a comprehensive review of the week’s training, followed by a return to the range for warm-up drills and any necessary make-up firearms qualifications.

The second half of the day consists of the final practical examination. Students will be assigned to a team, given a specific role, and tasked with escorting a principal through a real-world scenario using previously advanced locations. Performance will be evaluated on:
  • Situational awareness and threat response
  • Ability to blend into the environment
  • Communication and coordination within the team
  • Execution of protective strategies under pressure
  • Overall safety and client management

At the conclusion of the detail, students will receive direct feedback from their assigned principal as well as an instructor evaluation. Successful completion of this exercise is required to earn certification for the Executive Protection course.

COURSE COST:

The Executive Protection Training Course is $4,000. We understand that this is not a small amount. For this reason, we want to be very upfront with what this fee covers. This amount covers:
  • All certification costs, including your EP Cert, CPR, AED, Stop the Bleed, First Aid, TCCC, and ASRB Certification
  • A personal EP Agent ID and bifold wallet upon class completion
  • 500 rounds of 9mm ammo
  • Airbnb stay for the duration of training (double room occupancy possible)
  • Access to the outdoor range and training center classroom

What you will be responsible for:

  • The Alabama Armed Guard State License Fee (Fee is paid directly to the state and must be in the form of a check)
  • Weapons
  • Food and snacks
  • Vehicle transportation (Airport pick up and drop off provided if listed in travel itinerary.)
  • Any other necessities you might need

PLEASE NOTE: This is not an introductory firearms course. Students must demonstrate proficiency in firearms to attend. Safety is our highest priority — any unsafe behavior (especially while on the Range) will result in immediate disqualification from the course, and no certificate of completion will be issued for the EP training. However, students will still receive certifications  earned from completed components, such as medical or guard licensing.
